Three arrested with heroin, poppy straw

JAMMU, May 26: Bishnah Police arrested three drug peddlers along with heroin and poppy straw.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Pawan Dogra during patrolling intercepted two persons, who were moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 2.71 grams heroin from the possession of these persons and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Lovejeet Singh, son of Daleep Singh of Village Chumbian Jattan Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu and Surjan Kumar, son of Tilak Raj of Village Rehal Tehsil Bishnah District Jammu.
Meanwhile, the similar team also arrested one more drug peddler along with 2 kilograms of poppy straw.
The accused was identified as Avneet Singh, son of Jasbir Singh of Bari Brahmana.
Cases under FIR Number 88/2022 and 89/2022 under relevant Sections have been registered at Police Station Bishnah and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
