JAMMU, May 26: Bahu Fort Police arrested two extortionists here today.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a lady with Police Station Bahu Fort stating that two persons extorted money on the name of police.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 145/2022 under Sections 384 and 420 IPC was registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Nayat Ali under the supervision of SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma was constituted.
The team did hectic efforts and finally nabbed both the extortionists, who were identified as Amandeep Singh of Nanak Nagar District Jammu and Shubam of Menia Mohallah Trikuta Nagar.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
