JAMMU, May 27: Dogra Front & Shiv Sena (DF&SS) under the leadership of its president, Ashok Gupta took out a protest rally against the unprecedented hike in the dairy products, announced by Department of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affair within the Municipal Corporation limit, here today.
“The unprecedented hike in the dairy products including Rs 9 to 12 per litre hike in milk, Rs 10 per kg in curd and Rs 40 per kg hike in cheese will hit the budget of the common man which is already reeling under the burden of rising prices of other essential commodities,” Gupta said.
Earlier, the rate of milk, curd and cheese was increased by the concerned department in July 2019 and after three years, the department once again announced the hike in the dairy products which is unjustified.
He alleged that the Govt officers are involved with dairy farms to increase prices of the dairy products and demanded that the prices of the products should be rolled back.
