Poonch Cultural & Craft Festival concludes

POONCH, May 29: Poonch Cultural and Craft Festival, organised by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages, concluded, here today wherein seasonal artists enthralled the gathering with their performances.
The function is a part of the ongoing Government of J&K’s scheme titled “Scheme for Promotion of Traditional and Cultural Festivals of Jammu & Kashmir” for the promotion and preservation of the traditional and cultural festivals of Jammu & Kashmir.
On the concluding day, the Pahari dance was performed by Archana Sharma and party, while Dogri dance by Ravi Sharma and party, Gojri by Choudhary Yaseen Naz and party, Pahari singing by Master Kartar Chand, singing by Parvez Malik, Folk singing by Ashish Kumar, Rasmeet Kour and party, Punjabi dance by Razia and party, Folk singing by Rajesh and party, Folk singing by Ranjeet Singh and Folk dance by Kulbir Singh & party.
Local folk music and dance forms were displayed during the festival to spread cross-cultural awareness amongst the audiences and the locals. Multiple food stalls were also installed by the locals during the festival. The whole event was streamed live on the YouTube channel of JKAACL.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner Basharat Hussain thanked the entire team of JKAACL including. Sanjeev Rana (Additional Secretary, JKAACL), Dr. Ajeet Rana (Educationist) Sanjeev Gupta (Cultural Officer Samba-Kathua), Dr. Alam Dar Hussain Shah (Cultural Officer Rajouri), Daksh Dev (Lieutenant Governor’s fellow), Mohd Yaseen (National Scholar and Junior Fellow), Pankaj Sharma (Technical Head), Shoket Naseem (Junior Assistant) and Hari (Cameraman) for gracing the festival.
The locals thanked the J&K administration for taking an initiative to promote the craft and culture of J&K UT.
