Killing of female teacher in Kulgam widely condemned

JAMMU, May 31: The killing of a female teacher Rajni Bala in Gopalpora area of Kulgam district in South Kashmir by terrorists has been widely condemned.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President, Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah on Thursday condemned the brutal killing of Rajni Bala, a teacher at a Government School in Gopalpora, Kulgam, saying the unending targeted killings in Kashmir is a matter of grave concern.
While condemning the killing of Rajni from Samba, Dr Farooq said, “I condemn the dastardly killings unreservedly and express my unison with her family. The perpetrators, who have committed this heinous act, have no religion. No religion condones violence. Nothing justifies such bloodshed.”
While describing the killing as cold blooded murder which cannot be compensated by anything he said, “I express heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray to Almighty to give the strength to bear the loss in this hour of grief.”
Condemning the brutal killing of Omar said, “This is yet another targeted killing in a long list of recent attacks directed at unarmed civilians. Words of condemnation & condolence ring hollow as do the assurances of the government that they will not rest till the situation normalises. May the deceased rest in peace.”
Meanwhile Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior leader Sakina Itoo, party MP Hasnain Masoodi, Zone President Dr Bashir Veeri, State Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, district president Kulgam Ab Majeed Bhat Larmi, YNC provincial President Salman Ali Sagar and Minority Cell functionary Sardar JS Azad have also condemned the killings unequivocally.
BJP national general secretary and in charge Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Tarun Chugh said he was grieved over killing of female teacher who was killed by terrorists in Gopalpora area of Kulgam.
In a statement, he said that the brutal killing of a female teacher by terrorists is extremely sad and painful.
“May God rest the departed soul at his feet and give strength to the family members to bear this profound loss”, he added.

Raina said Pakistani terrorists were behind the “inhuman and ugly” act of killing. “The way the killers of Rahul Bhat and Amreen were brought to justice, these killers will also be neutralized soon, even if they try to hide. These Pakistanis will not be spared,” he remarked.

Congress has strongly condemned the targeted killing of a woman teacher in Kulgam district and termed the situation as worrisome, as Government failed to stop selective killings in Kashmir.
In a hard hitting statement the JKPCC said that the minorities and others are being targeted by designs which is very dangerous and worrisome.
The statement further said that the Government has failed to ensure the safety of innocent people especially soft targets like minorities, migrant and Jammu employees and outside workers.
Saying enough is enough, senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana today observed that selective killings are acts of terrorism aimed at creating disharmony, adding people of Kashmir, particularly the civil society must come out strongly and openly against Pakistan and her proxies who are responsible for such dastardly killings.
Rana hoped the people of Kashmir will come forward to restore pristine glory of the Valley that has received huge dent by the alien gun culture over the past three decades.
He strongly condemned the yet another barbaric killing of a school teacher in Chawalgam area of the Kulgam district by terrorists and said the inhuman act speaks of a sinister campaign to create fear psychosis, instability and discord between the communities in order to keep the Valley boiling. This is an attempt to scuttle the process of normalisation that has resulted in fillip to economic activities in the Valley in recent times. He said this is an uncomfortable situation for Pakistan and it’s lackeys, who are desperate to reverse the positives achieved by the security forces with the cooperation of the people.
: All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations condemn the killing of Ms Rajni Devi, an employee of J&K government posted in Kashmir Valley. She is survived by her husband, Raj Kumar and a young daughter.
RK Kalsotra, State President Confederation, offered his condolences to the family and demanded compensation for the irreplaceable loss incurred to the family and immediate transfer of the family back to their home district where they can grieve the loss and can continue the work there.
Kalsotra expressed these concerns to the Chief Secretary, J&K, in a candid conversation and said that the inter district recruitment policy should be revised and already vulnerable sections shouldn’t be posted on far flung areas where it becomes a threat to their lives as they are only acquainted with pens and not guns. Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president and former Minister, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed his deep sense of grief over the killing of Rajni Bala, a teacher who was killed by the terrorists in Kulgam district this morning.
In a statement issued here, Bukhari has termed the killing as a heinous crime by the terrorists. He said, “the targeted killing spree has created havoc and absolute insecurity among the masses. “How long will this mindless bloodshed continue here, and what would the perpetrators achieve by killing innocent people?” he asked.
He urged people to raise their voices against this mindless bloodshed. He said, “Unless people unite to raise their voices against the civilian killings, these killings will not stop”,.
The gruesome killing of Rajni Bala a teacher by the terrorists today morning at Gopalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district is one more genocidal killing. Every other day, Hindus are being killed by Jihadis in Kashmir. The killing of Hindu in Kashmir puts a question mark on the security front by Modi Government. The present government in New Delhi is brazenly pursuing the policies of denial of Hindu Genocide, PK Chairman Ajay Chrungoo said in a statement.
“We have been time and again repeating and reminding the powers at the helm that the Hindu employees in Kashmir are frontal targets of genocidal assault and worst victims of denial of genocide.
The so called employment package for Hindus of Kashmir was never an initiative for their return and rehabilitation in Kashmir but always a vicious process of hostaging Hindus to an Islamist order only to ensure its secular cosmetic dressing, he added.
He urged GoI to immediately take out all the Hindu employees to Jammu without any further delay.
Former Union Minister, Prof Saif-ud-Dn Soz expressed his deepest sadness on the killing of Rajni Bala at Kulgam and Amreen Bhat at Chadoora:
In a statement issued here he said “It is extremely sad that in recent days, killings of many innocent persons have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir”.
The J&K Union Territory Government has utterly failed to give protection to the vulnerable families. As many as seven target killings have taken place within a month, out of which three were police men, he added.
CPI (M) leader Mohammad Yousf Taragami has termed the killing of a woman teacher in Gopalpor area of district Kulgam as tragic and unfortunate.
In a statement, he said this is yet another addition to the long list of civilian killings and there seems no end to the bloodletting.
He said the administration must post these employees in safer places and provide them secure accommodations.
Apni Party provincial president, Jammu, Manjit Singh has strongly condemned cowardice attack by the terrorists in which a Government school teacher namely Rajni Bala of Samba district was killed in Gopalpora.
In a statement he condemned the killing of the innocent lady teacher and appealed to the Government to shift all the Government employees from Jammu regions to the district headquarters and book those officials deliberately posting the Government employees as fodder for militant guns in remote areas of Kashmir Valley.
He appealed to the Government to review its policy and shift all the Jammu people working in different departments of Kashmir Valley back to their native districts in this division for safety and security reasons.
J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu has strongly condemned the killing of innocent teacher Rajni Bala of Samba working in Government School in Gopalpura area of Kulgam district. The Bar which held a condolence meeting here, today under the chiarmanship of its president, M K Bhardwaj termed female teacher’s killing a matter of serious concern which needs to be condemned by one and all in one voice. All the office bearers and many learned senior and young members of the Bar Association participated in the meeting.
The members present in the meeting in strongest terms condemned the cowardly attack and expressed their anguish that despite repeated attacks on minorities in the Valley the Government / authorities have not learnt any lesson and completely failed to provide appropriate necessary safety and security to its innocent citizens.
Former Minister and senior BJP leader Bali Bhagat has strongly condemned the killing of female teacher and warned of strong reaction if barbaric acts are not stopped. In a hard hitting statement Bali said if the killing of Jammu based employees was not immediately stopped in Kashmir then there will be a strong reaction from Jammu region.
Kashmiri Pandit Sabha (KPS) while strongly condemning the killing of a female school teacher belonging to minority community termed it abject failure of UT Government led by LG Manoj Sinha.
in a statement Sabha president, K K Khosa said the hollow claims of the Government that by large normalcy has been restored except for occasional killings are not reassuring. The frequency of such killings has increased alarmingly and it seems the UT Government is not only at a loss to tackle the situation but is brazenly refusing to accept the responsibility, the statement added.
All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation affiliated with Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shakshik Mahasangh has also strongly condemned the killing of female school teacher in Kulgam district by terrorists.
The Federation which held a meeting today under the chairmanship of its president, Dev Raj Thakur and general secretary, Rattan Sharma termed it a barbaric act of terrorism. The meeting said the killing is part of a conspiracy to create a wedge among the majority and minority communities living in Kashmir Valley.
Senior National Conference (NC) leader and former Minister, Ajay Sadhotra has also strongly condemned the killing of a school teacher in Kashmir and termed it a brutal act. In a statement, he said the targeted killings have assumed alarming proposition in the Valley and Government should take effective steps to instill sense of security and confidence among the people in general and those working there in particular.
The Shiv Sena Jammu Kashmir Unit has strongly condemned the killing of Rajni Bala by terrorists in Kulgam and termed it a cowardly act of terrorists. Party State chief, Manish Sahni has warned terrorist organisations operating in Kashmir to desist from such nefarious acts and said such acts are intolerable. He said the terrorist acts are increasing day by day and both State and Central Governments have failed in providing security to innocent people especially minorities working in Kashmir.
Former Minister and chairman People’s Democratic Front, Hakim Mohammed Yhasin has strongly condemned the killing. In a statement issued, he termed it a heinous act against humanity and said the perpetrators of barbaric act have to face the wrath of God.
Mission Statehood Jammu and Kashmir led by Sunil Dimple held a strong protest against the selective killings in Kashmir. He termed the killing of a Dogra girl of Samba by terrorists in Kashmir a shameful act which can’t be tolerated.
He also criticised the UT Government for shifting dead body to Jammu through an ambulance instead of a chopper. He said this is the great disrespect to a martyr. The protestors who blocked traffic on Janipur road for some time alleged that the Government has completely failed to protect the lives of innocent people in Kashmir. He demanded that KP and Jammu based other employees be immediately transferred from Valley to Jammu.
Mata Kheer Bhawani Asthapan Trust Jagti township in a meeting held under the chairmanship of its president Kaka Ji Bhan has strongly condemned the barbaric act. The meeting appealed the people to cancel this year’s Kheer Bhawani yatra in view of the deteriorating situation in the Valley and increasing attack on Hindu minorities. The meeting also appealed all social organisations of KPs to support the cause of migrant and other Hindu employees working in Valley.
A strong protest was held by Jagti Tenement Committee at Jagti township against the killing of a female school teacher Rajni Bala and migrant employee Rahul Bhat. Shadi Lal Pandita president JTC accused BJP led Central Government of its total failure in protecting the minorities in Valley.
Senior leader Tasleema Akhtar and JKPC youth provincial secretary, North Kashmir strongly condemned the cowardly attack on school teacher at Kulgam district.
Dharamshalla Trust Budgam has also expressed grief over the killing of female teacher in Kulgam. The Trust in a condolence meeting held under the presidenthsip of M L Koul Gulabi mourned the demise of Rajni Bala killed today and Rahul Bhat who was also recently killed by terrorists. The meeting described them martyrs.
Senior Trade Union leaders, P L Koul Budgami and Raj Nath Rina have also strongly condemned the killing of female teacher and demanded fool proof security for migrant employees and other Jammu based employees posted in Kashmir, besides there relocation.
Vinod Pandit a KP leader and social activist has also strongly condemned the brutal act and demanded a thorough probe into the matter.
All Displaced Kashmiri Employees Forum (ADKEF) president, M K Tickoo has also strongly condemned the killing of a female school teacher belonging to minority community by terrorists in valley and demanded immediate transfer of all Valley posted Hindu employees to safer places outside Kashmir .
BJP leader and convener of party’s trade and Industries Cell Sham Langer has also strongly condemned the killing of a female teacher in Kashmir by terrorists.
