Drug peddler nabbed in Budgam

Srinagar, May 31: Police today said to have arrested a notorious drug peddler in Budgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
“Police Station Magam received a specific information through reliable sources that one person namely Abdul Rashid Parray son of Abdul Ahad Parray resident of Naidpora Bon Makhama has indulged in drug peddling and hoarded a huge quantity of narcotic substance in his residential house,” police said.
On receipt of this information, a Police party of PS Magam raided the specific location.
During the search, police said, officers were able to recover 25Kgs of Poppy straw from his residential house.  “He has been arrested and shifted to PS where he remains in custody.”
Accordingly, police said, the case vide FIR No. 74/2022  under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Magam and further investigation has been initiated.
