New threats of a “combined” terror network

The push is seemingly coming to a shove in respect of the looming terror threat from Afghanistan and Pakistan based terror outfits with a new understanding , design, structure of training and logistics as also in the garb of new nomenclature and rechristening of the outfits. India being fully conscious of the unfortunate but quite challenging menace and meriting full resistance, must redouble its efforts as emerging world power, to consolidate an international resistance to this scourge. The time has come, if analysed politically , as also looking at the likely fallout of how different terror outfits are organising themselves and readying number of fighters to launch terror attacks , that a decisive war , not isolated fights on patchwork basis, seems inevitable to root out the scourge lock stock and barrel. More than four decades menace faced by this country at a huge cost must now see its end . The trend of waging this proxy war in Kashmir undergoing more and new debased strategies, as seen for the last couple of months, can only be traced to the mechanisations of what the terror organisations especially in Afghanistan plan to execute.
Agreed, a UN Report of the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team in respect of the Taliban and other associated individuals circulated recently, has analysed the nitty gritty of how different terror groups and outfits of Afghanistan, rendered idle after the ”developments” in Afghanistan took place last year, have planned to focus their ”attention” on Kashmir but what is it planning to do as a world body to mobilise international front to launch a decisive war against it to enable elements of personal liberty, freedom, right to practice one’s faith and live without any coercion and fear etc by the people to be ensured to be preserved and sustained, is the most important question. The clarion call of the Indian Prime Minister at 76th UN General Assembly late last year , while addressing , had strongly urged world leaders to make sure that Afghanistan is not used to spread terrorism. Was it, therefore, already not envisaged , anticipated and feared by the leadership of this country what the UN Report spills about it now? May it be asked resolutely as to why the UN is not adopting the Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism the voice for which India has been rising strongly at the platform of the world body for the last more than five years? If long shadows of terrorism are seen and felt by this country for over five decades, with the ”advent” of this malady infused by utter bigotry more and more countries could become the targets .
Merely issuing ”analysed reports” by the United States should not be for decorating the archives of the UN but it should be suggested as to how it was resisted, fought and finished with one combined force internationally. If the premise is that the World Body is the watchdog of the interests of the world communities, their lives, freedom, liberty, property and faith ,in that case it must live up to its name and not be just watching helplessly the spectacle of devastation, destruction and usurping traditions and civilizations which is the larger aim and objective of terrorism. Mere symbolic or token sanctions hither and thither cannot work at all or be proved any effective. That, even an internal matter of a sovereign and independent country where freedom , equality before law , constitutional guarantees , democracy, independent powerful judiciary etc are inalienable ingredients of the functioning of Government like India, should be even remotely discussed by a terror monger al- Zavahari like Hijab, should not be taken lightly .That in other words is indicative of how internal matters of the country seen in the context from a narrow prejudiced angle but suiting the terror agenda by describing the issue as “defiance of an Indian Muslim female in front of men protesting the Hijab” is becoming focus of terror groups from Afghanistan.
More internal issues that are bound to crop up in the ordinary course in a tremendously open , free, just and democratic set up of India , if indulged in by the terror groups like the Hijab, could be used as a plea and ground for mobilising support from forces and elements hostile from within to even ”justify” the execution of terror plans. It is another thing that such satanic plans have little chances to succeed but things cannot be taken lightly either. It is not without a larger diabolical aim of the terror groups to shun ”old” attire to adopt new names besides trying to putting wool in the eyes of the targeted countries and their Governments , in the context being India particularly Kashmir as per the UN Report. The terror outfit Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) though currently maintaining a low profile in Afghanistan having ”fighters” from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar and Pakistan have been duly located in their various training camps in Afghanistan .
Financial constrain by AQIS and other groups compelling them to adopt less aggressive approach for the time being ,are now indulging in drugs and narcotics trade on a wider scale , the routes of which besides Afghanistan and Pakistan pass trough even Iran and the proceeds of which are used to fund and finance terror groups resulting in the shift of focus from Afghanistan to Kashmir . Since the days the Taliban captured power in Afghanistan , the sale and dealings in Afghan origin heroin has tremendously increased with new routes like Iran , Turkey and some countries of Europe being used to reach the selected places. Huge seizures of the drugs at various places especially the coastal areas of the country, as such, fairly point towards another ugliest but diabolical face of terror groups of Afghanistan and Pakistan combined not only to cause sale of the drugs in India widely and inflict another blow to our personnel resources to whatever extent but even cause financial harm of whatever magnitude in the garb of money laundering and similar economic offences. The UN Report is definitely touching various vital points regarding Afghan terror and its strategies which must result in a greater awakening in the Indian masses about the lurking threat and the Government must keep its anti terror arsenal strong even more lethal.
