BHADERWAH, June 1: A Special Police Officer (SPO) was found dead under mysterious circumstance in village Drafra of Tehsil Bhalla here today.
As per police sources, the SPO identified as Subash Chander, son of Man Chand of village Drafra Tehsil Bhalla was found dead by the family from Drafra area. The SPO was posted as guard in AIR Bhaderwah.
“My son had asked us over phone to keep meal ready. Fifteen minutes later his body was recovered at around 9:30 pm last night,” his father said and alleged that his son has been murdered by someone. The father of the deceased SPO demanded arrest of the persons behind the murder of his son.
After conducting autopsy, the body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites.
However, inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been initiated by Bhaderwah Police to ascertain the cause of the death.
