Refresher course for GOs concludes at SKPA

UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Two weeks refresher course for Gazetted Officers (GOs) organized at Sher-i-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) concluded here today.
The refresher course was organized in order to acquaint the newly promoted DySPs of Jammu Kashmir Police (JKP) with their new role and responsibility and to aware and sensitize them with challenges faced by officers at the cutting edge level.
During the course eminent speakers including academicians, professionals and police officers, working and retired, interacted with participating police officers.
On the concluding day, Farooq Khan, Director Academy, delivered a detailed power point presentation on scene of crime investigations-collection and preservation of evidence besides giving valuable guidelines to the field officers out of his vast experience.
Ram Lubhaya, retd ADGP delivered lectures on departmental enquiries and attitudinal change in police.
Earlier, the course was inaugurated by Garib Dass, DIG Udhampur-Reasi range, who while speaking delivered lecture/presentation on cyber crime with the help of case study.
The course was designed and conducted by Ravinder Rao, DDP and Manzar Khayam, senior prosecuting officer.
