UDHAMPUR, June 3: Udhampur Police has recovered a stolen Auto and a motorcycle besides arresting the accused vehicle lifter.
The Auto, bearing registration number JK14H 6051, is owned by one Laksham Dass, who had lodged a written complaint of the vehicle theft from outside his house. A case FIR number 234/22, under section 379 was registered in this connection at PS Udhampur.
During investigation, a special team of PS Udhampur, led by SHO Chaman Gorkha, under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur, conducted raids at different suspected locations
Police detained some suspects and one of them, namely Mohd Sadiq (Kazi), son of Fareed of Chakkar, Udhampur, confessed to have committed the theft. On his disclosure, Police recovered the stolen Auto from Battal Ballian area of Udhampur.
Moreover, Udhampur Police also recovered one more vehicle (Royal Enfield bike) bearing Registration number JK14G-1033 which was also stolen by the accused and a case FIR 102/2022 was registered in this connection. Both the vehicles were recovered and further legal proceeding are underway.
