RAMBAN, June 3: Batote Police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest from the past 16 years.
The accused was identified as Liyakat Ali, son of Mian Gujjar of Thathan District Anantnag.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 15/2007 under Sections 188 RPC and 146/192/194 Motor Vehicles Act with Police Station, Batote. He was evading his arrest from the clutches of law for the last sixteen years.
He was arrested from Ramban and was produced in the court of law.
