JAMMU, June 4: The residents of Mohalla Welfare Committee Basant Nagar in Ward number 60 (Janipur) here today expressed resentment against the poor water supply in their area.
In a handout Brijnandan Singh Blowria, Committee president claimed that for the last six months their area is suffering from the poor water supply.
He also said that they met the concerned JE and AEE many times but nothing fruitful resulted.
Locals of the Mohalla claimed that they receive water supply twice a week with little pressure which leaves many households dry.
They further claimed that the people of the Mohalla are forced to buy water from private tankers at exorbitant rates.
The residents further said that for the last one month the concerned JE and AEE are assuring them that supply to the Mohalla will be made from a viable main supply but the same is also being delayed.
The affected people also said that if their issue is not resolved soon then they will come on roads to protest for the demand of proper water supply in their Mohalla.
