JAMMU, June 4: Pouni Chak Police arrested a man in abetment to suicide case.
As per police sources, a woman immolates self by pouring some inflammable substance in Camp Gole Gujaral area yesterday.
She received serious burn injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where she succumbed to her injuries.
The deceased was identified as Sangeeta Bharti, wife of Nand Kumar Bharti, a resident of Chattisgarh, at present Camp Gole Gujral District Jammu.
After conducting post-mortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under Section 306 (Abetment to suicide) has been registered at Police Station Domana and the accused husband namely Nand Kumar Bharti has been arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
