RAJOURI, June 4: At least ten lambs and a few sheep were charred to death after a cattle-shed caught fire in Nowshera area of district Rajouri this evening.
Police sources said that as reported by a villager, the cattle-shed of one Mohd Showkat, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Khari village near Nowshera caught fire under mysterious circumstances at around 5.15 pm. About ten lambs and a few sheep were charred to death in the incident while some were saved. A fire tender from Nowshera arrived the spot but the shed had already been badly damaged. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
