Sewerage system in shambles

Sir,
Jammu city presents a horrible view these days. Stench, filth, uncovered ditches, heaps of garbage present an annoying picture for the citizens. There is every apprehension of some untoward incident as uncovered choked lanes may break the bones and cause serious injuries to the pedestrians during the dark.
Many writers in their write-ups have depicted the dismal picture of the railway station surroundings and the tracks covered with huge slit making difficulty in running trains especially on Jammu-Udhampur track and also in the interior heart of the city.
Earlier also your impressive editorial, “lack of cohesion” has exposed the tall claims of Jammu  Municipal Corporation dated August 21, 2013. The situation seems to be chaotic due to the faulty planning of the Corporation.
The dug out roads, deep manholes, grime, gravel, huge mounds of garbage and rubble on the roadside in the congested areas of the  interior city mirrors the tall claims of the master plan to keep Jammu an eco-friendly city.
It is worth while to mention that Trikuta Lane No 1 facing towards Sharika Vihar has turned into a heal of garbage with no macdamization, no dust container only grime and gravel making walking a nightmare for elderly citizens. This lane has been left without drainage and sewerage system, nobody bothers to clean this lane, a breeding ground for mosquitoes and repitiles.
The sweeper never  bother to clean this lane as if  it does not lie within the municipal limits. Now who will rescue the residents of this lane as it gives a shabby look, being totally ignored by the Municipal Corporation and left at God’s mercy is a million dollar question?
Yours etc….
