3 drug peddlers nabbed in Baramulla, Handwara

Srinagar, June 7: Police today said to have arrested three drug peddlers in Baramulla and Handwara and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In Baramulla, a Police party of PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Hilal Khaliq- at a checkpoint established at Drung Crossing intercepted a person identified as Tahir Bashir Khan son of Bashir Ahmad Khan resident of Check Ferozpora Tangmarg.
During the search, police recovered 109 grams of Charas from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to the police station .
Similarly in Handwara, a police party of PS Handwara arrested a lady drug peddler and recovered 25 grams of brown sugar and a cash amount of Rs 1,04,300, believed to proceed of drug sale, from her possession.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered in respective Police Stations and investigations have been initiated.
