JAMMU, Sept 9: Kathua police today seized two trucks and rescued 17 bovine animals at Jarai Bhaghthali road when they were being smuggled to Kashmir.
Police had laid a naka at Jarai and intercepted the trucks. It rescued 17 bovine animals from the two trucks and seized them.
The bovine smugglers managed to escape. Police have launched a search to nab them.
A case has been registered against the accused at Kathua police station.
Police parties headed by SHO Kathua Inspector Shiv Dev Singh made the seizure under the supervision of SSP Kathua Mohan Lal.
