SAMBA, Sept 9: Alleging delay in distribution of relief among the rain hit people in Vijaypur block, activists of J&K National Panthers Party today held a protest demonstration in front of Tehsil Office Vijaypur.
Led by JKNPP provincial general secretary Rajesh Padgotra, the protesters raised slogans against the Government and staged a dharma. They also submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Tehsil office.
The protesting JKNPP activists also demanded immediate repair of the roads like Vijaypur to Manipur, Chaka Silurian to Keno Pacer, Ramah to Kenmore, Bandar to Go Brahman via Sara Shahzadpur, Ramgarh to Abtal Dug, Vijaypur to Swankha – Jhang, Rahya Morh to Rajinderpura (Bagoona), Rajinderpura (Bagoona) to Vijaypur via Sangwal, Gupwal, Salmeri and Vijaypur to Gurha Slathian via Badwal.
Others who were in dharna, included Sarpanch Khajoor Singh, Gunwant Singh Bagal, Parshotam Sharma, Dr Joginder Bhagat, Amar Nath Kanethia, Govind Sharma, Ram Pal Sharma, Girdhari Lal Sharma, Chuni Lal Verma, Pawan Sharma, Parru Slathia, Raman Bali, Sardar J B Singh, Mohd Yusif, Rampal Bhagat, Joginder Sharma and Sat Pal Thappa.
