Sena MP meets family of Rahul Bhat, Rajni Bala; slams BJP

JAMMU, June 9: Strongly batting for safety and security of Kashmiri Pandits and other Hindu employees in Valley, Shiv Sena, MP Priyanka Chaturvedi today visited and met the family of Rahul Bhat at Durga Nagar and later the family of Rajni Bala a teacher at Nankey Chak Samba who were killed by militants in Kashmir last month.
Bhat (35), who had got the job of a clerk under the special employment package for Kashmiri Pandits in 2010-11, was gunned down by terrorists inside the crowded tehsil office in Chadoora town of Budgam district in Central Kashmir on May 12.
Rajni Bala of Nankey Chak Samba was a teacher in Government High School Gopalpura in Central Kashmiri’s Kulgam district. She was also gunned down last month in the School premises by militants.
“I met the family members of Rahul Bhat today at their home in Jammu”, she said.
Chaturvedi said Shiv Sena will raise the issue of Kashmiri Pandits, and other Hindu employees serving in valley. She demanded the safety and security of those who are working in the Valley.
The Member Parliament interacted with the family members of Rahul Bhat and expressed solidarity with them in this hour of deep crisis while assuring all possible help to the family.
During this, a team of Kashmiri Pandit employees posted in Kashmir submitted a memorandum to the Member Parliament with information about the present situation of insecure atmosphere in Kashmir.
At village Nankachak in Samba the family members of teacher late Rajni Bala and expressed grief over the loss suffered by the family members. She assured them to raise their issue with the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah. Rajni Bala’s husband also submitted a memorandum about his expectations.
While addressing a press conference in Jammu, the Member Parliament said that the Central Government’s slogan to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir is not visible anywhere on the ground. She lashed out at the BJP Government at the Centre for its failure to ensure the safety of minorities in the Valley. She said that the BJP which claims to restore peace in Kashmir and protect Hindus, targeted killings and exodus of Hindus from Kashmir has exposed it.
Priyanka Chaturvedi assured to raise the ground issues of Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming Parliament Session.
Earlier, Shiv Sena leaders led by Manish Sahni, president J&K, gave a rousing welcome to the MP at Jammu Airport.
