JAMMU, June 9: Affiliated with IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, KMS College of IT and Management, Ch Banta Singh Colony, Dasuya, Punjab has announced 50 per cent concession on registration fee for new students from Jammu and Kashmir.
This was informed by Principal of the College Dr Shabnam Kaur while interacting with media persons.
Dr Kaur informed that the College was established by Bibi Amar Kaur Ji Educational Society and is situated 56 km from Pathankot on GT road.
Dr Kaur said that this concession is made for specific time and specific seats. They also have Smt Manjula Saini Ashirvad Yojana in which they give 100 per cent concession to girls scoring more than 90 per cent. For taking advantage of this scheme, the students should register themselves either online or by visiting the college. They have limited seats in each course. The management of KMS College has invited students to take admission for getting technical education to make country and college proud and making their future bright, Dr Kaur added.
Principal Dr Shabnam Kaur stated that the college is affiliated with a Government university with a motive of Karam Mehnat Seva. College has 5 departments which include IT, Commerce, Fashion, Medical and Non-medical, Dr Kaur said, adding that every department facilitates students with job-oriented and self-employment providing courses.
“College has BCA, BSc (IT), BSc (MLS), BSc (Non Medical), BSc (Fashion Design) and BCom (Hons) for students after 12th and has MSc (IT), PGDCA, MSc (Fashion Design), MSc (Medical Microbiology) and PGDFD for students after graduation”, Dr Kaur informed.
During the press conference, Dr Manav Saini told that Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and women empowerment is the main and popular aim these days. During previous days with this aim KMS College has set an example by appointing more than 75 per cent female faculty members and more than 75 per cent of strength of students as girl child. Dr Saini stated that giving students better quality education is their main aim.
