Workshop on ‘Basic Life Support’ held in IGGDC Jammu

JAMMU, June 10: Post Graduate Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College (IGGDC) Jammu conducted a one-day workshop on ‘Basic Life Support’ in its smart class room, under the faculty development programme.
Prof Dr Azhar Malik, HoD, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics conceived and supervised the event which was well coordinated by Dr Rudra Kaul (Lecturer, Department of Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics).
Dr Suhail Murtaza Nazki, HoD, Emergency Medicine, SMVD, Superspeciality Hospital Kakrayal and his team practically demonstrated the sequence of life saving steps on dummy patients in the management of cardiac arrest, air way obstruction and related emergent situations in day-to-day life.
All the faculty members, students and paramedical staff attended the workshop.
Dr Ajay Kumar Gupta (Associate Professor), Dr Rachna Dhani and Dr Shamim Anjum (Assistant Professors), Dr Ravinder Kumar (Lecturer), Dr Kanchan Bhagat (Senior Dental Surgeon) as well as Dr Ashish Choudhary and Dr Sukhbir Kaur (Senior Residents) contributed in various capacities to the overall success of programme.
Prof Dr Rakesh Krishan Gupta, Principal IGGDC Jammu, under whose guidance and leadership lot of such faculty development programmes have been conducted, presented certificate of appreciation and mementos to guest speaker and his team. Certificates of attendance were also distributed to all the participants.
