KATHUA, June 10: Much awaited black-topping work of Dinga Amb- Dangal (Wrestling) Ground road was kick-started today in presence of all the Panchayat members and prominent persons of the Tehsil today.
The blacktopping work was inaugurated by Sarpanch, Seema Gupta, in presence of former Sarpanch Dinga Amb- Kuldip Gupta and prominent local religious personality, Manohar Shastri besides other members of Panchayat today.
This was an old popular demand of the people of this area to construct this 800 mt long link road from Dinga Amb Tehsil headquarters to only play ground (Dangal Ground) in the area. This road is being blacktopped for the first time with the cost of Rs 12 lakh.
The Panchayat membes further urged upon the Deputy Commissioner Kathua and Tehsil Administration Dinga Amb to remove illegal encroachment from this only play ground/ Dangal Ground for the youth in the area and sanction adequate funds for its up-gradation and developed. This will help in channelizing energy of the local youth in the right direction, they pleaded.
