624th Kabir Jayanti celebrated at Bishnah

JAMMU, June 12: The 624th Kabir Jayanti was celebrated today with great zest and fervor by All J&K Shri Sadguru Kabir Sabha at Kabir Bhawan, Chak Avtara Bishnah.
The function was largely attended by people from all the districts of Jammu division especially from district Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Udhampur and Reasi. On the occasion, the idol (statue) of Shiromani Sant Kabir Sahib was installed at glorious Kabir Bhawan.
Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti & Food Processing, Prahlad Singh graced the occasion as the chief guest. The Minister said that it will be his pleasure if he can contribute to the development of this Kabir Bhawan through some means.
Member Parliament Jugal Kishore attended the function as guest of honor. Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore said that he felt greatly honored to attend the idol installation ceremony of the greatest poet and saint of this country who worked hard for the weaker section and taught the world to think beyond the boundaries of caste and religion.
The ceremony was done under the observation of Bhagwan Dass, Mahatma-Udas Marg R S Pura, Manmohan Lal – Mahatma Gaddi Bhagata Sahib, Keran and Sahil Ji Maharaj, a religious guru. The rituals of the ‘Murti-Sthapna’ were performed by Raj Kumar Dass Mahatma- Dhamakheda, Gaddi Dhani Dharam Dass, Chattisgarh.
President of All J&K Sadguru Kabir Sabha F C Bhagat while addressing the gathering said that Kabir Das was the first Indian saint who co-ordinated between different religions and gave a universal path which could be followed by all. He said that construction of the Kabir Bhawan was his biggest dream which today has finally taken its course and he has a strong belief that the followers of Sant Kabir are immensely satisfied today.
Prominent personalities who attended the function and spoke on the occasion were Mula Ram (chairman), C P Ganga (ex-Minister) and Prof Gharu Ram (ex-MLA).
