JAMMU, June 13: Former minister and senior Congress leader Dr Manohar Lal Sharma has slammed the BJP Government for its alleged failure on all fronts and said it has not come up to the expectations of the masses.
While interacting with people during his extensive tour of Billawar constituency today Manohar Lal said all the sections of society are completely fed up with the BJP’s performance in the Government, its anti-youth, anti-poor and anti-people policies. There was uncontrolled price rise and record unemployment in J&K.
He lambasted the Union Home Ministry for failing to protect lives of innocent people in Kashmir and said   this will be seen as the worst phase in the Valley’s history. Sharma said while there is an atmosphere of panic and terror in Kashmir, BJP is  busy promoting movies amid the “targeted killings ” in Jammu and Kashmir.
There have been targeted killings of Hindus, Kashmiri Pundits as well as Muslim security personnel because they are serving the country but the BJP is busy promoting movies, like ‘The Kashmir Files and ‘Samrat Prithiviraj’.
Sharma further hit out at the BJP for celebrating its eight years in power at the Centre when the situation in Kashmir is out of control . He said performance of any government is evaluated under five parameters including- social cohesion, internal security, economic development, international relations and commitment to institutionalism. But BJP Govt has failed in all the parameters.
