JAMMU, June 16: J&K Dairy Farmers Association raised the problems which the milk producers are facing with JKMPCL (AMUL).
In a press conference here today the Association members said that they organized a number of meetings in Kathua, Samba, Akhnoor, Jourian, R.S Pura, Nowshera and Jammu Urban to listen grievances of dairy farmers.
They said that major problem that came out in the meetings was that of milk procuring price by JKMPCL and the demand of increasing this price was raised.
The Association authorized its Jammu province president, Sandeep Singh Chib to talk with JKMPCL CEO in this regard.
Association members claimed that the CEO used bad tone while talking with Chib and demanded a written apology from him.
They also said that the Milk Analyzer and Weighing Machine of JKMPCL at their Collection Counter should be checked for accuracy.
The Association appealed its members to hold protest demonstration against JKMPCL in coming week.
Association members present in the press conference were Jeet Ram Choudhary, chairman; Surjeet Singh, Kishore Sharma, senior vice president; Sukh Dev Choudhary, Sat Pal Choudhary, treasurer; Tarun Sharma, general secretary; Balvinder Singh and Lalit Raina, secretary.
