BCC projects burning issues of Bishnah area

JAMMU, Sept 11:  Various local leaders and party activists projected some burning issues of  the people from Bishnah block during Block Congress Committee (BCC) meeting held at Rehal in Bishnah today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Capt Harshvardhan Sharma, BCC president Bishnah while former Minister and senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak was special invitee. It was attended by members of the BCC, Sarpanchs and Panchs besides Numberdars and Chowkidars and the party activists from various villages of tehsil Bishnah.
While speaking on the occasion Capt Harshvardhan raised the issues and said that vented causeway constructed by the department in 2006 has been washed away due to floods. With this people from Rehal, Taraf  Brahmana, Krail Manhasan and Chak Hassal etc have been affected. The matter was taken up with the concerned department but nothing has been happened. He also drew the attention of the concerned department towards the dilapidated condition of the roads, lanes and drains.
It was pointed out by the speakers that acute problem of the electricity due to the non-availability of  electric poles  and worst condition of old rotten wires and transformers  is needed to be sorted out at war footing.  They also lodged strong protest against the approved BPL list where the most deserving people have been left out. They further demanded relief for the damaged paddy crop of the farmers of the area.
Mr Charak while addressing the gathering claimed that he has already taken up the issue of repair of the damaged cause-way with the R&B authorities besides compensation for the damaged crop of the farmers of this belt.  He further assured that necessary steps would be taken to take up the issue of  repair of lanes and drains besides improving power infrastructure in the area. Mr Charak said the issue of construction of new college building has also been taken up forcefully with the concerned authorities.
Prominent among others who spoke on the occasion included Madan Lal Bhagat, K C Dogra, Vakil Chand, Tirath Ram, Girdhari Lal, P C Sharma and Ashok Gupta.
