RAJOURI, June 17: The police seized a vehicle and rescued 11 bovine animals in Nowshera area of district Rajouri last mid night.
Official sources said that during intervening night of June 16/17 police party from Nowshera intercepted a Mahindra vehicle, carrying 11 bovine animals for its transportation towards Kashmir valley at village Hanjana. Reportedly, the vehicle has earlier intercepted by locals and then they intimated police.
One Wajid Hussain, son of Babu Hussain, resident of Lah in Thanamandi was arrested while driver namely Mohd Shafiq, son of Manir Hussain, resident of Lah and one Ajaz Ahmed from the same area, managed to escape from the spot. The police seized the vehicle along with cattle and started manhunt for the driver and his associate.
