JAMMU, June 19: Greater Kailash Police arrested a man in Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a minor girl along with her father with Police Post Greater Kailash stating that a man namely Amarjeet Singh, son of Jang Bhadur Singh of Model Town Gangyal touched her inappropriately when she took lift in his car bearing registration number JK02CK-2125 on June 15 this year.
Acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 69/2022 under Section 7/8 POCSO Act was registered by Police Station Gangyal and hunt was launched to arrest the alleged accused.
On specific information, a team from Police Post Greater Kailash led by PSI Harish Chander under the supervision of SHO Gangyal Inspector Joginder Singh conducted raid and apprehended the alleged accused.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
