Locals protests against absence of Medical staff at PHC

UDHAMPUR, June 20: Up in arms against un-authorized absence of Medical staff at Primary Health Centre Badhota, people from Lodra, Kosal, Tandi, Sadota Latyar, Katti Danota, Sadota, Galiote and adjoining areas today held a strong protest demonstration in front of PHC Badhota.
Shouting slogans, they staged a protest. They alleged that PHC Bhadota was found closed today. When the patients reached the PHC this morning, it was found closed after which people reached the district hospital in a private vehicle, they said.
Demanding inquiry into the absence of the staff of PHC Badhota, locals alleged that maximum staff of the PHC was illegally attached by concerned authority in Panchari PHC and Udhampur.
The protesting villagers were addressed by Sandoor Singh, Romal Singh, Lehar Singh, Snunak Singh, Govid Ram, Des Raj, Chuni Lal and Pritam Singh.
Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, Dr Vijay Basnotra said that he has told BMO Panchari to conduct an inquiry into purported absence of the staff and those found guilty will be punished.
