Farmers leave for Delhi to protest

JAMMU, Sept 12: About 200 farmers under the banner of Bharatiya Kissan Sangh (BKS) today left for New Delhi to protest against denial of benefits to them of Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
The BKS leaders Subash Bharti and Subash Dasgotra, who led the delegation, said they would hold protest demonstrations in New Delhi to make the Centre Government aware about the failure of Centrally Sponsored Schemes pertaining to the farmers.
They alleged that the Centrally Sponsored Schemes on the farmers were benefiting a few individuals and not the entire farming community. They said the schemes should be framed in such a manner that they benefited all farmers.
