SRINAGAR, June 23: Government today accorded sanction to the constitution of an Advisory cum Regulatory Committee for regulating and ensuring compliance with laid down norms and procedures adopted by the House Boats.
According to the order, Director Tourism Kashmir and Vice Chairman Lake Conservation and Management Authority will be chairman and co-chairman, respectively of the Advisory cum Regulatory Committee while as Deputy Director Tourism (Registration), Secretary LCMA, Assistant Director F&ES Srinagar and two members of Houseboat Owners’ Association (each nominated by chairman KHBOA) will be members of the Committee.
