DC distributes Rs 8.35 lakh relief

REASI, Sept 13 : District Administration Reasi today organised a relief distribution camp at Pouni and distributed an amount of Rs 8.35 lakh under SDRF. The relief was distributed among 70 families which included 46 cases of fully damaged houses and 10 cases of partially damaged houses apart from cattle sheds.
Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal accompanied by Addl DC Rajinder Singh camped at Pouni and distributed relief cheques to the affected families. This was 5th camp organised by the district administration after Dharmari, Reasi, Katra and Arnas. Three more camps have been scheduled for Chassana and Mahore.
All the cases involving damage to private property especially houses have been cleared by the district committee and relief made available at Niabat offices. With this 100% cases have been sanctioned relief under SDRF as per directions of Chief Minister.
Dr Shahid advised the general public that if there is any leftover case the same should be brought to the notice of concerned Naib Tehsildar for immediate verification and relief distribution. He also inspected ongoing restoration works in case of public infrastructure and directed timely completion of works. Addl DC informed that camps in left over areas are being organised in next two days for 100% relief distribution.
The camp was attended by officials from Revenue, Rural Development, Forest, PWD, PHE, Education and Police. Tehsildar Ravinder Kumar Anand and NT Munshi Ram conducted the camp.
