Blind murder of doctor worked out

JAMMU, Sept 13: Domana police today worked out the murder case of Dr Anil Arora son of Krishan Arora, a resident of Gandhi Nagar by arresting the accused from Udheywalla.
The accused has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar alias Kallar, 23, son of Prabhu Dayal, a resident of Om Nagar, Udheywalla. He was working as security guard.
Police said Dr Arora, posted as Medical Officer in Bhalwal Health Centre had developed friendship with Kallar after the latter had sought lift from him.
The doctor had gone missing on the evening of September 8. The family had lodged a missing report with Gandhi Nagar police station.
Domana police recovered an unidentified dead body from bushes in Rajinder Nagar at Bantalab. It was sent to the Medical College and was identified as that of Dr Arora.
Police said Kallar had strangulated the doctor to death in the bushes at Rajinder Nagar and threw his body there.
Police said the accused has confessed the murder. A murder case has been registered against him at Domana police station. Police said the reasons behind the murder have been ascertained.
“However, it was a blind murder, which has been solved within couple of days in a professional manner. The mobile telephone’s Call Detailed Record also gave us clues,” police said.
Police parties led by SHO Domana Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary worked out the case under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sandeep Mehta.
