BJP celebrates Modi’s coronation

JAMMU, Sept 13: The State BJP celebrated the coronation of Narendra Modi as Party’s Prime Ministerial candidate by its Parliamentary Board in Union Capital this evening.
Soon after the announcement hundreds of Party activists assembled in BJP office and celebrated the occasion. They shouted slogans in praise of Mr Modi and the Partymen danced  to the tune of the drum beating. They also busted crackers in joy.
The programme was also attended by the senior party leaders up to late in the night. The BJP office at Kachi Chawni wore a festive look as it was fully decorated by the Partymen who described the announcement of Mr Modi as PM candidate a great and timely decision by the Parliamentary Board and the Party has won the half battle to next Parliamentary elections.
The Party activists also celebrated the announcement of Mr Modi at district headquarters of Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban and Udhampur.
At Udhampur a grand procession was taken in the town under the leadership of BJP secretary Pawan Khajuria. The elated Partymen raising slogans in praise of Modi and the Party also distributed sweets and danced to the beating of drums.
The BJP district president Dina Nath Bhagat, Som Raj Khajuria, Neelam Nargotra, Rakesh Gupta, Akshay Kumar and Subash Sharma were among the prominent Party men who participated in the celebrations.
