JAMMU, June 25: In order to bring industry and academia together for the betterment of Skill Eco system; Govt Polytechnic for Woman Jammu today inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with District Industries Center, Jammu.
The main objective of this MoU is to upskill the knowledge of students with exposure to industrial environment which will facilitate them about various schemes and incentives for setting up the ventures so as to entice them to become entrepreneurs and also placements as per industries requirements. The emphasis is being on industry institute interaction in which institute and the industries are mutually benefited.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Sudershan Kumar, Director Skill Development, J&K by Subah Mehta, General Manager DIC Jammu and Neelanjana Manwati, Principal Govt Polytechnic for Women Jammu.
According to Sudershan Kumar, purpose of this MoU is to bridge the gap between industry and institute for enhancing the employability, entrepreneurship and start-ups. Dr Malvika Sharma, Project Manager DIC Jammu, Rajesh Khajuria, Training and Placement officer of Govt Polytechnic for Women Jammu, faculty and staff from Directorate, Polytechnic and DIC Jammu were present on this occasion.
