UDHAMPUR, June 25: In the second incident of its kind within two days, the District Administration of Udhampur has cautioned about a fake WhatsApp account using DP of Deputy Commission Udhampur, Kritika Jyotsna.
The fraudster is using the fake WhatsApp and asking different employees and others to pay through the Amazon Pay link etc. The district administration has informed the public that this is a fake WhatsApp account and they should not fall into the trap of the fraudster.
“A fake WhatsApp user using DC Udhampur’s photo as DP and demanding money through Amazon pay link etc. it is a fake account. Report such WhatsApp account and calls (if any) immediately to Police. Remain alert & vigilant,” tweets the official Twitter handle of DC Udhampur.
As already reported, another senior IAS officer Shahid Choudhary had also revealed that a cybercriminal was using a fake WhatsApp account to defraud colleagues and friends by asking them to send money on Google pay.
