JAMMU, June 25: The dead body of an unknown woman was recovered today from a canal in Satwari area of city outskirts.
According to police sources, some locals spotted the dead body of an unknown woman of age about 50 years floating in a canal in Jeevan Nagar area of Satwari and informed the police.
A team of Police Station Satwari immediately reached the spot, fished out the body from the canal and shifted it to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem. Inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated by the Satwari police.
