SAMBA, Sept 13: The Nodal officer appointed by the Government to deal with the problems and demands of the Chhamb displaced persons of 1965 and 1971, Additional Commissioner, Jammu, Robin Singh Mehta, visited the DP Basti, Kartholi, here on Thursday to see living conditions and listen to their problems as well as demands so that same could be projected in the report, he has to submit to the Government.
The nodal officer accompanied by president of the Chhamb Displaced Persons of 1965 and 1971, SR Naigal, and field staff including Tehsildar, Vijaypur, Naib-Tehsildar, Bari Brahmana and concerned girdwar and patwari visited the spot and found that the DPs were living in miserable condition in the heart of the Industrial area.
He also listened to the problems of the DPs and assured them that all their demands and problems would be reflected to the Government through the report submitted by him.
