AAP Jammu discusses political scenario

JAMMU, June 26: Aam Aadmi Party discussed the current political scenario during a meeting of the party, held here today at AAP Regional office in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Sr Core Committee Members S Deep Singh, founder & National Council Member, Mahesh Chander Sudan, Ravi Shastri, Kuldeep Kumar Rao, Raj Kumar Nischal, Rajesh Bali, Amit Langer and Raman Sharma took part in the meeting, which was under the chairmanship of Om Parkash Khajuria , Convener Jammu Province.
The meet held thread bare discussion on the political situation in the country as also in the J&K- UT vis-a vis AAP preparedness about the probable general elections in the J&K UT.
Farooq Ahmed Banday and Ram Singh Chauhan, Sr Core Committee Members participated online and expressed their views over the phone.
Keeping in view the suggestions made by several senior leaders, the meet decided that workshops about policies and programs of the Party shall be organized in every constituency of Jammu Province so that general public is made aware about the public welfare schemes launched by Delhi Government with regard to women folk and senior citizens in particular.
Enthused over the victory in Delhi by-elections, the senior Party leaders appealed the masses that Delhi Model of governance which has become popular and talk of the town can be implemented in J&K too if voted to power.
The meeting expressed surprise that J&K, the land of water bodies and home for power projects, is facing acute unscheduled cuts like primitive ages and 80 percent of the whole Hydel power was being diverted to Northern Grid at the cost of J&K people. AAP observed that the time has now come to teach the traditional political parties a lesson in times to come, throwing the spent forces away on account of their misdeeds of neglect, bias, corruption and nepotism over the years for the future generation of the people and bring in an honest Government here also under the dynamic leadership of Arvind Kejriwal.
