Copper remains down on subdued demand

 

NEW DELHI, Sept 14:Copper prices fell for the third straight day on the local non-ferrous metal market today due to reduced offtake by consuming industries.

Traders said reduced offtake by consuming industries and a report of a weak global trend mainly influenced copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap fell further by Rs 2 to Rs 424 per kg.

The following are today’s metal rates per kg:

Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4×4) 1,045-1,046 gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 424, chadri deshi 285.

Lead ingot 150, lead imported 148, aluminium ingots 148, sheet cutting 149, aluminium wire scrap 151 and aluminium utensils scrap 148. (PTI)
