Freight rates up on tight position of trucks

 

NEW DELHI, Sept 14:  Freight rates for nine-tonne load to select destinations rose by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight availability of trucks against increased cargo movements.

Transporters said busy cargo movements against less position of trucks in the markets mainly pushed up freight rates.

Delhi to Patna, Surat and Guwahati rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 31,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 56,000.

Rates to Banglore and Pondicherry too hardened by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 63,000 and Rs 71,000.
