Theft case worked out, burglar arrested with stolen items

JAMMU, June 29: Domana Police worked out a theft case with the arrest of a burglar along with stolen items worth Rs 2 lakh.
As per police sources, on May 5 this year, a complaint was lodged at Police Station Domana regarding theft of LED, inverter battery and other electronic gadgets from the residential house at Purkhoo.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 166/2022 under sections 457 and 380 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of the investigation, a team from Police Station Domana led by SHO Inspector Tilak Raj Sharma and assisted by PSI Danish Qaiser Gazali was constituted to solve the case and nab the culprit(s).
After working over many leads and hectic efforts, the team finally nabbed the thief, who was identified as Pritam Singh, son of Uttam Singh of Purkhoo Camp District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the stolen items were recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that during thorough investigation the accused confessed that he had committed some more thefts and on his further disclosure the stolen property worth about Rs 1.5 lakh has been also recovered.
The case was worked out under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Jammu Sanjay Sharma.
