JAMMU, June 30: The Jammu and Kashmir Peace Party was launched here today by Surinder Singh for the purpose of maintaining peace, harmony, brotherhood and lasting peace.
Party Chairman Surinder Singh said that he has realized that the main cause of the distressing situation in Jammu and Kashmir is due to prolonged mis-governance by the ruling parties.
The party has been launched to mobilize public in the UT and the Country against Pakistan sponsored terrorist activities, Singh said, adding that party’s motive is also to mobilize the people of PoJK for merger with India to usher an era of peace, harmony, brotherhood and development in all the region of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Our motive of launching the party is also to remove decades of mistrust and Misunderstanding between people of Jammu & Kashmir particularly Muslim population with the Central Government led by PM Narendra Modi”, he said, adding that the party will motivate youths of the Kashmir valley to leave the path of violence and contribute towards peace and end of bloodshed.
“To formulate and implement proper policies for the restoration and protection of environment in the UT, universal education that would serve the needs of employment, economic and industrial growth, protection and advancement of the horticulture and agriculture, development of infra-structure, power, tourism and industries, providing economic package to industrial and tourism sectors, empowerment of women are some of the main motives of the party”, Singh stated.
