RAJOURI, July 1: Shahdara Sharief Shrine, Bus Stand sans public toilet facility despite popular demand of the people of the area and the local shopkeepers.
Reports said that after public demand Block authorities at Thannamandi recommended Toilet complex under SBM at Shahdra Sharief Bus Stand few months ago but unfortunately the District Panchayat authorities Rajouri rejected the proposal.
It was mentioned in the said proposal that thousands of pilgrims/devotees visit this shrine and there is dire need of Toilet complex at Bus Stand Shahdra Sharief. But the District Panchayat Officer rejected the proposal on the plea that there was no need as such. The Panchayat members of the area expressed strong resentment and sought intervention of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri into the matter.
