The organisers of the Ladakh International Film Festival deserve kudos for holding this festival in this part of the country which most of the time remain inaccessible to the countrymen. The Festival like the previous one which was held last year will bring this region in the eyes of the world community.
The three-day festival will certainly help in promoting local talent in film making. There is immense talent available but it has not been explored due to a number of factors including geographical and topographical. The interaction with renowned film makers participating in the festival will inculcate a sense of confidence among the local film makers. The people here feel quite privileged to host this kind of festival.
Though people here extend every possible help to the organisers the Government too should lend its helping hard by providng all sort of facilities to them by creating necessary infrastructure for the festival.
