RAMBAN, July 5: Political parties leaders along with people held protest demanding construction of Degree College and Trauma Centre at Batote.
The protestors questioned about the delay in completing the DPR of Trauma Centre Batote which is being deliberately held up in the Director Health Jammu office. The land for the construction of the building is already available to the Health Department but still Director Health is holding back the file due to some unknown reasons.
They said that the file for the construction of the Degree College Batote is lying idle at the office of District Magistrate Ramban, adding that the land for construction of the college building was identified 3 years back, still no process has been initiated for tendering the works.
The protestors said that the delay in construction of the Degree College has forced the students to either leave higher studies or to migrate to other places for pursuing higher education.
They demanded construction of the Degree College and Trauma Centre at Batote without any further delay.
The protestors urged the higher ups in Government to take these demands seriously or they will have no option left but to come out with women and children on roads to protest.
