MENDHAR, July 6: The Murti and ‘Shila Sthapna’ of Lord Shani Dev Ji Maharaj was done in a grand religious function held at Hanuman Temple, near LOC in Mendhar Sub division of Poonch district today.
In this connection, a grand ‘Bhagwat Katha’ was organized in Hanuman Mandir, Mendhar for one week, which ended today on July 6 on the occasion of Hanuman Temple Foundation Day, under the supervision and guidance of renowned Pithadhishwar, Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri 1008 Swami Vishwatmanand Saraswati Ji Maharaj.
During this, the idol of Shani Dev ji Maharaj was installed in presence of Swami Ji after performing all the Vedic rituals. A large number of prominent persons of the area and community members were present on the occasion.
Sawami Ji said that the idol was installed by the youth of Hindu community with the help of community members and Temple Management Committee amid recitation of Vedic mantras which was followed by ‘Pooja’ performed and other guests present on the occasion.
A Bhandara was also organized on the occasion after completion of Shani Dev Murti Sthapna’ ceremony.
