Jammu, July 6: SSP Poonch Rohit Baskotra today held a crime review meeting at Conference Hall DPO Poonch. The meeting was attended by, Additional SP Poonch, SDPOs, SHOs among other staff of DPO.
At the outset, the SSP discussed crime cases of important nature viz NDPS, ULAP, theft, sensitive besides general crime and also tracing out of missing persons/absconders, crime against women, execution of court process besides, curbing the menace of narcotic /bovine smuggling, hawala trade etc by way of cultivating reliable sources for generating reliable inputs and also issued the directions with regard to optimum use of manpower, strong anti-militancy grid, closely monitoring all the police work by the supervisory/territorial officers, especially in the core territorial units like police stations, police post/pickets, operational components etc.
He called for polite but firm attitude of police while dealing with general public, quick and instant logical response to the grievances of general.
The SSP Poonch further instructed to achieve notable progress on disposal of under investigation cases, pending inquest proceeding, cases under NDPS and execution of court process.
