JAMMU, July 8: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Avny Lavasa, today visited Tehsil Pargwal and took stock of various Revenue services being provided to the people.
She also enquired about the difficulties being faced by general public as well as revenue staff while delivering online services.
Tehsildar Pargwal, Manjeet Singh while briefing the Deputy Commissioner asserted that Tehsil Pargwal being situated at International Border lacks internet connectivity and the digital infrastructure needs to be improved to deliver various online services which have been made mandatory with effect from 15 August 2022.
He further informed the Deputy Commissioner regarding the progress achieved under Svamitva, Digitization of Jamabandis, retrieval of State Land and various other related services.
The Deputy Commissioner directed to prepare estimates for the renovation of Tehsil complex as well as Niabat & Patwarkhana offices, wherever required.
DC Jammu then visited the site of ongoing under-construction bridge Indri Sajwal (1,640-metre span double-lane bridge over the Chenab river in Sajwal).
The project will provide an alternative route for the population of Sajwal and Indri Pattan villages. With the completion of this bridge, the distance between Sajwal and Indri Pattian will be reduced to 5 km from present 47 kms.
The Deputy Commissioner Directed the Executive Engineer, PWD Sub Division Akhnoor as well Executing Agency to complete the project in a time bound manner.
