UDHAMPUR, July 8: A housewife committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws at village Serbala in Ramnagar.
According to the police report, Babli Devi (47), wife of Shamsher Singh, resident of Serbala, Tehsil Ramnagar consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at her home late last night.
Family members took her to Primary Health Center (PHC) Ghordi where she died during treatment. Later, the dead body handed over to the family members after postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case and initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC at Police Station Ghordi.
